Prince Joachim of Denmark (son of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and of her husband, Prince Henrik [born Henri de Laborde de Monpezat]) and his wife, née Marie Cavallier, are expecting their first child together in May. He has two sons by his first marriage. (added 11 Nov 2008)

Martin Ronnow and his wife, née Countess Feodora af Rosenborg (daughter of Count Christian af Rosenborg, né Prince of Denmark, and of his wife, née Anne-Dorthe Maltoft-Nielsen) had their first child, Caroline-Mathilde Margrethe, at Copenhagen on 1 February. (added 6 Feb 2009)

FRANCE (ORLÉANS)
The civil wedding of Prince Jean d'Orléans, Duc de Vendôme (son of Prince Henri d'Orléans, Comte de Paris, and of his first wife, née Duchess Maria Theresa of Württemberg, later Duchesse de Montpensier) and Philomena de Tornos y Steinhart took place a Paris on 19 March. The religious ceremony will reportedly take place at the Cathedral of Senlis on 2 May 2009. (updated 20 Mar 2009)

GEORGIA ( BAGRATION )
Prince Davit Bagration de Moukhrani of Georgia, (son of Prince George Bagration de Moukhrani and of his first wife, née Maria de las Mercedes Zornoza y Ponce de Léon) married Princess Anna Bagration-Gruzinsky (daughter of Prince Nugzar Bagration-Gruzinsky and of his wife, née Leila Kipiani) at the Cathedral of Sameba, Tbilisi, on 8 February le 8 février 2009. Prince Nugzar is the senior member of the last-reigning branch of the family. (updated 10 Feb 2009)

Prince Bagrat Bagration de Moukhrani (son of Prince Irakly Bagration de Moukhrani and of his second wife, née Maria Mercedes de Baviera y de Borbón) married Mme Françoise Cazaudehore at Saint-Germain-en-Laye on 7 March. GREAT BRITAIN and NORTHERN IRELAND
The engagement was announced between Lord Frederick Windsor (son of Prince Michael of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of his wife, née Marie Christine Freiin von Reibnitz) and Sophie Winkleman (daughter of Mr and Mrs Barry Winkleman). Princess Marie Christine of Liechtenstein, died on 27 February. [She was born at Graz on 2 February 1933, daughter of Prince Alfred of Liechtenstein and of his wife, née Princess Ludmila von Lobkowicz. Prince Floris of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven (son of Pieter van Vollenhoven and of his wife, Princess Margriet of the Netherlands) and his wife, née Aimée Söhngen, are expecting their second child in July 2009. (added 12 Dec 2008)

PRUSSIA
Princess Luise of Prussia (born at Klein-Glienicke on 23 August 1917, daughter of Prince Friderich Sigismund of Prussia and of his wife, née Princess Marie Luise zu Schaumburg-Lippe) died at Schloss Bückeburg on 23 March. [She was born at Potsdam on 13 February 1903, daughter of Hereditary Prince Emanuel zu Salm-Salm and of his wife, née Archduchess Maria Christina of Austria. In 1925 she married Felix Graf von Loë.
